Integration Architect (Mulesoft/Workato)
Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and experienced candidates to join our dynamic and centralized team as Integration Specialists. As a key member of our Center of Excellence (CoE) for integrations, you will play a crucial role in improving the time to value for projects involving system-to-system integrations. The successful candidate will work closely with our legacy systems, primarily interfacing with REST APIs, and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to establish best practices and ensure quality in integration processes.
Responsibilities:
Enhance time to value for projects requiring system-to-system integrations.
Minimize high-code integrations and foster low-code solutions.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to establish and maintain a CoE with a focus on best practices and quality integration processes.
Ensure data encryption at rest and in transit, without anticipating specific ALE requirements (e.g., encrypting specific fields).
Utilize iPaaS solutions, particularly MuleSoft and Workato, hosted in the provider's cloud environment.
Manage the complexity of 35-50 integrations expected in the first half of 2024, ranging from small to medium complexity.
Implement two-way pub/sub pattern for Kafka integrations, with some integrations solely consuming, some solely publishing, and others both consuming and publishing.
Work with the Greenway EHR and FHIR in specific scenarios, converting to/from FHIR formats as needed.
Guide and establish an integration lifecycle for DEV, TEST, and PROD promotion in the absence of an existing DevOps team.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in system-to-system integrations, with a focus on reducing time to value.
Familiarity with low-code integration solutions, especially MuleSoft and Workato.
Expertise in implementing two-way pub/sub patterns for Kafka integrations.
Strong understanding of data encryption practices at rest and in transit.
Experience working with REST APIs and legacy systems.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture best practices.
Familiarity with healthcare systems, particularly EHRs like Greenway and healthcare data standards like FHIR.
Ability to manage a high volume of integrations with varying complexity.
Proven ability to work in a dynamic, centralized team environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications (Additional MuleSoft and Workato Requirements):
MuleSoft Expertise:
Proven hands-on experience with MuleSoft, demonstrating the ability to design, develop, and deploy integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
In-depth knowledge of MuleSoft architecture, including the design of Mule flows, connectors, and API specifications.
Familiarity with MuleSoft best practices and the ability to optimize and troubleshoot MuleSoft integrations.
Workato Proficiency:
Strong understanding of Workato integration platform, showcasing the ability to create and maintain complex integrations.
Experience in leveraging Workato's low-code capabilities to streamline integration processes and workflows.
Capability to design and implement integrations using Workato connectors and recipes.
Cross-Platform Integration:
Ability to seamlessly integrate MuleSoft and Workato solutions into the overall system architecture, ensuring interoperability and optimal performance.
Experience in creating hybrid integrations that utilize the strengths of both MuleSoft and Workato to meet diverse business requirements.
API Management:
Proficient in API management using MuleSoft's API Manager, including API creation, versioning, and documentation.
Understanding of Workato's API capabilities and integration with external APIs.
Security:
Deep knowledge of security features in both MuleSoft and Workato, ensuring the implementation of secure and compliant integrations.
Experience in configuring and managing security policies within MuleSoft and Workato environments.
Performance Optimization:
Proven ability to optimize the performance of MuleSoft and Workato integrations, identifying and addressing bottlenecks for enhanced efficiency.
Certifications:
Preferred certifications in MuleSoft (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer) and Workato (e.g., Workato Certified Builder).
